Peel lemons and stud with cloves. Simmer lemons in a pan along with the other ingredients. Ignite some cognac and pour into the pan. Extinguish with the rest of the cognac.
Serves about 10.
In large container, mix all but the soda. Chill for 2 hours, stirring occasionally. When ready to serve, pour over ice in punch bowl, add chilled club soda and stir gently. Makes 8 servings.
Punch Bowl
In a saucepan, bring sugar and water to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes. Remove from the heat; cool. Pour into a large bowl; add juices. Cover and refrigerate. Stir in ginger ale just before serving. (5 servings.)
1. Add ice to a blender (or to a glass if you prefer on the rocks).
2. Add the fruit and fruit juice depending on personal preference, then add the rum, vodka, tequila, and triple sec. Blend until smooth.
3. Rim a glass with sugar or salt and pour in the mixture. Garnish with a lemon or lime slice.
